They get me just outside sometimes too, but seem to be coming from the chicken barn mostly. I've had them get in my car, I think I tracked them in on my shoes or clothes...and spraying my car with Lysol fixed it. I've also had them attracted to the light on my cell phone and computer screen in the house!! And they bite my hands and face when I'm on one of these devices...like right now. I think I tracked them in yesterday, which was when I posted this because I'm freaking out from the itching!!

Well actually the itching seriously happens the next day after being bit. Jeepers I hope you figure this out quickly..

The fly spray has permethrin in it. They also use it in ear tags for cattle to help control the flies. I have a dozen coops. If I find anything in one coop I will treat them all. I buy the concentrate and mix it with water in a gallon sprayer. My sister has been having an issue with the no-see-ums. I haven't been bothered by them but did have mites and did spray all of the coops and put the permethrin dust in the pine shavings in the nest boxes. So far no more issues. I don't use foggers because I do have 40# hanging feeders in all of the coops and don't want to deal with it getting in the feed so I spray. In your case foggers would probably work well and will be able to penetrate the cracks and crevices where the pest can hide. With Permethrin, there is no egg withdrawal period. Good luck...

Actually here the bugs and the itching is immediate. I walk in the coop, feed and water, leave and I'm itching on my face and hands before I can hardly get the door closed!! But if the temps fall below freezing for a night, then it doesn't happen. Seems to kill them instantly in the cold.

Thank you!! All of that is very encouraging!!! Seems we women are having more issues with this than the men,....I am guessing from things like hair products, perfume, more girly type scented soaps! lol Maybe we smell better? hahaha!!

True..I'll be sitting outside and have to rinse my feet and ankles off or put socks on in my flip flops like a tourist..:gig
