Is that edging?Rob you have some gorgeous and inspiring birds. Please let us all know when you start selling hatching eggs!
I've been socializing with this little guy and may pen him up with all my unrelated black hens once he's mature. He's the first cemani cross I've hatched with patterning in his iridescence. Photos don't do these birds justice, they look absolutely magical in person. I've been calling them Draco Eggers amongst private company.

I don't think so, he appears solid black except for a bit of white leakage in his cheeks and I expect more white to show up as he matures. Is that edging?
Nay new updates Rob?Update on my pullet from last year that I’ll breed this year:

Not much. It’s always sort of slow going. Right now I’m trying to decide when to stop hatching for this season and hold off until spring with new breeding groups. I feel like I’ve got some really good birds for next year and it looks like some of the long-tail birds are getting good color. I’ve still got a ton of chicks that are too young to judge their potential. Here’s a nice little cockerel though that I’m excited to see how he turns out:Nay new updates Rob?
These are not a uniform breed yet. Hopefully that will happen soon. Then technically they can be shown even if they aren’t an APA accepted breed and eventually they might be accepted if you can follow the application process which includes (I think) 3 different people raising them for 5 years. If they become popular they’ll probably become an accepted APA breed eventually.WOW!!! Those are gorgeous birds. I'm assuming you show them for competition?
they look great! Do they breed true to the black? any color on the roosters? What comb type are you selecting for? These are not a uniform breed yet. Hopefully that will happen soon.
