Can I ask what your end goal is?

My goal is a very shiny bright purple chicken. I want it to be so purple that people don’t think it’s a black bird with iridescent purple. I want them to just see it as “purple”.

He's almost as reflective as glass. That's incredible.

I don’t think he’s quite as shiny as his father but he’s closer to solid black. I think there’s still room for improvement but I’m getting there.

This guy is still quite young and feathering out very slowly and the photos don’t really do him justice but in person his feathers are really amazing for his age and I’m excited about his potential.

And lastly this one...which looks like a pullet but I’ve seen it mock-fighting like a cockerel so I’m not sure (but admittedly the cockerel above tries to fight everything so may it is just defensive). Her colors do t really show as well in these photos but her purple is really clear with great coverage so she/he should turn out really nice:
