Just throw a small handful of scratch in their coop when you want them to "go to bed" ... then close the door ...

After a couple of days ... they will be waiting for you!

We have an automatic door & the controller has a light that blinks red like every 30 seconds when the door is closed so you can tell from far away. Would you be able to see it from the house?

I have had them dilly dally & not get in before the door closed once, so I still like to check.

Unfortunately our coop is over a hill, with trees in the front so it is impossible to see the coop from the house. Thanks for replying though!!!
