Is 20% chick starter too much protein?

Hi,
I just recently (yesterday at a chick swap) got three adorable little chicks, barred rock-australorp cross one week old. So I asked for " a bag of medicated chick starter" at my feed store, were my exact words words, but when I got home I noticed that it was 20% protein. Is that too much because it sounds like quite a large amount of protein.
Thanks in advance :) !

Nope 20% will be just fine. Don't worry a bit. Let your chicks eat as much as they want. A 50 lb bag of feed for three chicks should last you a very long time!

I use Turkey Grow with 20+% of protein for development and
still add in three hard boiled egg's a week so it is in no way
going to hurt your chicks at all and the people at the feed store
helped you out as Medicated Chick Starter is a medicine I use
as a mix or I mix it into my chicks feed for the first two weeks
only and then I put it in the freezer so it won't go bad so fast..

You need to also add some Probiotic to the water .....
