i found a polish pullet and i'm nursing her back to health, and she has a blocked nare, i've removed a small amount of it but it stinks like an abscess, is that normal for a blocked nare?

well it's hard to tell since the nare is blocked, when i found her she was breathing through her mouth, she can now breath through her nose a little, no sneezing,or wheezing, she did have a bad case of lice

Breathing through the mouth could indicate over heating. What were the circumstances in which you found her? Lice can be a major issue for polish especially due to their crests. Do you have them under control now? I've found ivermectin drops work best for lice.

No sneezing, wheezing or discharge would not make me think resp trouble now. Are you sure the smell is not coming from her crop? Is she eating and drinking ok now?

I found her in the morning and it was pretty hot out, but she was still breathing through her mouth after a bath, the lice are under control now she is eating and drinking now, and I know the smell is not from her crop because when I cleaned the nare out a bit the stench increased tenfold
