Is a broody pullet good for new chicks?

We are set to hatch our incubator eggs tomorrow, and we have a nine month pullet who decided she wants to be a mom. Does it help baby chicks to introduce a broody hen, or will she not raise them due to having not hatched the eggs herself. I realize there are no stupid questions, just stupid people......so forgive me in advance if this is common knowledge.

If she has sat enough time for her to think her eggs hatched, she will often accept them. She'll do all the work if she takes them, but may only be able to care for a dozen or so, and will tend to be more flighty than hand raised birds.
