Is a groundhog gonna be a problem???

I have decided to snare him. the roll of wire cost me about 2$ and its the easiest thing to do. we need to invest in a live trap later on because my guess is there will always be something new out here. here is the set up
can you see it?

I tied the rope to the door, and the wire is attached to the rope. hopefully a door is heavy enough to use as an anchor

I'm a PA Dutch farm girl and where there is one there are more. We use bubble gum. I throw double Bubble chewing gum into all holes. (paper and all- they will unwrap it). They eat it and it blocks their intestines and they die. Works great!!!!!

We have a family of 3 groundhogs on our property and they never bother the chickens. The feed on the grass and shrubs around our chickens and there has never been a problem with them. However it is not good for your building so I get rid of him either by running water down his hole or getting some very bad smelling repellent and putting it down his hole. Good Luck.
