Is a Little Giant incubator a good deal or just "Cheep, cheep."?

I have one and I am newish to incubating. Mine has worked very well so far. My first hatch I got 13 out of 14 eggs to hatch. I have 15ish duck eggs and 12 chicken eggs in it hatching now!

They do require alot of attention though. I am forever playing with mine. Luckily I only work 4 hours a day and am home alot to baby it. I have found adding jars of water and covering it with a thin blanket really helps hold the temp too.

Almost all work just as good or better. LG is the low end of the incubator world... Though I do like it, like I said...I have two.

I have two, and i HATE them! I have lost count at how many many eggs/chicks I have killed! I have turners for both, a fan in the one.

The one with the fan works slightly better, seems like there are hot spots, and cool spots, and I can have eggs too dry, and too wet in the same darn hatch depending on where in the brooder it is!

I think my best hatch was 50% and most times its much worse. The thing that gets me is you have to watch it constantly for temp spikes, like it will just take off for no reason. Plus when the chicks get close to hatching, I think they start to give off their own heat? And I cannot get my humidity abouve 45% for anything, I can fill all the channels, plus put wet sponges in there.

So, I'm looking at an "idiot proof" one. I like the King Suro alot. Does the Brinsea adjust for temp/humidity? They are awfully pricey though, and I could get a used Sportsman for what the 50 egg Suro goes for!

Are there any cabinet incubators that adjust the temps/humidity? And can you buy thermostats/humidity pumps to do it? My husband wants to make me a cabinet incubator, but I NEED one that if I set it to 99.5 and 50% humidity it will self adjust without me having to check the darn thing 8 times a day!

There are digital cabinets that adjust temps like some of the the newer sportsmans, and the Brinsea Ova Easy which also has the option to also add a humidity pump (but its pricey, its controls are similar to the king suro)

I have an older 1270 GQF cabinet, its pretty stable temp wise, has 2 thermostats so if one fails the other kicks in (I havent even upgraded to the newer thermostat yet since it works so well). Once the right size water tray is in its stable humidity wise as well. If your husband builds a cabinet, its really nice to add a water tray with a float so it automatically refills from the big bucket as it gets low, GQF makes one and you can get ideas on building one just looking at their design, its not too complicated but is effective.

I have hova-bator still air (no fan) incubator with auto egg turner. When I set my first eggs in it, I had to watch the temp and humidity every 2 hours and sometimes it had spikes even though it was stable for 4-5 days.
So I bought a R-com King Suro, and set 24 eggs, and it is so much easier compared to hova-bator.
However, only 24 eggs are fit in r-com suro, so now I am thinking I will buy genesis 1588, so I can use egg turner which I bought with still air. Maybe I can use still air bator for lockdown only.

I have two LG's and one Hovabator. I love all 3 of them. They have no problems. My favorite would be the Hovabator cause it has a fan but they would all be equal if they all had fans
