Several of our ducklings got their names from songs. I made a duck songs playlist on my phone and would play their songs for them starting from when they hatched. I didn't think they'd learn to recognize the songs or hear their names in the songs...dogs don't seem to notice if someone on tv, or in a song, says their name (I had a dog named Karma, she never reacted when someone on tv said her name). I'd almost swear that the ducks do recognize their names/songs though. Bill Bill wiggles his butt when I play "The continuing story of Bungalow Bill" but leaves the room when I play "Dear Prudence". Althea tries to hide when she hears her song...she doesn't like being picked up even though she likes snuggling once I'm holding her.
