Is Anybody Watching "The Voice" ?? We love that show!

We voted for everybody BUT Dia Frampton. I cannot get past the fact that she has no vocal range, and the show is called "The Voice", not "The Cute Girl".

I am sick to death of cute girls winning out over talented girls. The world has been like that for FAR too long, and if you don't look at them, close your eyes, and listen to them, you will understand that Dia Frampton has a great talent for light pop, folk, and country. Her range/abilities end there.

This show is about finding the singer with the greatest vocal ability. How can ANYBODY think Dia Frampton has a broader vocal range or ability than Vicci, Javier, or Beverly? We got online right after the show and cast our votes for everybody BUT Dia because we are sick of cute girls that make everybody swoon, winning out over people with real, raw talent.

I have no doubt all four finalists will have musical careers after this. And as i have said before, I'll buy Dia's music! She does have talent... as a folk singer, but nothing more.

"that judge" was thinking with parts other than the one on the top of his body between his shoulders.

The same reason Adam Levine kept Casey Weston over Jeff Jenkins. Jeff Jenkins has a SUPREMELY better voice than the cute girl with the nice headlights and inappropriate cowgirl boots and her tee hee hee.

I love Dia also .. she has a UNIQUE voice .. and not everyone HAS range.

It is an interesting and diverse final four ..

I think Blake means well. He truly loved his girls and wanted the best for them. Dia has a unique voice, and has a lot of talent. Range isn't everything. Have you ever heard Taylor Swift hit a high note? There is something that draws people to a unique voice.

Honestly I'm really hoping for Dia to make it. But Vicci is good too. I think Vicci and Javier will be top 2.

I LOVED Dia's original song better than anybody's last night. I believe that Blake picked Dia because she is unique. I also believe that is why Adam picked Casey - she is unique. Same with Xenia. They have a sound all their own - you don't have to see them to know who is singing - you know who they are the minute they open their mouths. JMO, but "The Voice" is about who has a good voice - not who has the best range - otherwise, the show would be called "The Range."

I thought Vicci was fantastic last night. Her duet with CeeLo was the most entertaining thing I've seen in a while. Beverly was awesome, as usual, but I didn't like her duet with Christina - Christina doesn't sing anymore, she just moans and wails around, not to mention the fact that I can't bear to look at Christina. I thought Javier's original song was boring, and his duet with Adam was horrendous.

I like all of them, but I'm really rooting for Vicci to win.

I really wish the tour with the 8 finalists was coming to my area! I would LOVE to go see them all in person.

I agree, Dia's voice/talents are unique. And she did have a great original song last night.

When we look objectively, all 4 finalists have something unique about them, and they all bring something very different to the stage. But I think girls like Dia and Casey.... they're just cookie-cutter pop singers.

Taylor Swift may not have great vocal range, but she's also not in a competition where her VOICE was the main reason for the competition. She did what she did on AI because she is musically talented and has great stage presence... something the producers and creators of "The Voice" are trying to steer away from. They are looking for someone with a stand-out voice, and Dia's voice does not "stand out" in any shape, way, or form. Cookie cutter/generic pop folk singer with a lot of talent, for sure, but nonetheless... not stand-out vocals. And this show IS supposed to be about the vocals.

(BTW, comparing Taylor Swift and Dia Frampton just solidifies my original statement that being cute always wins out over having vocal range and ability.)

Yep, my favorite duet was Vicci & CeeLo. Didn't know much about CeeLo before this show, and now I really like him!

I voted for Vicci. I know nothing about range, etc. but I think she is someone I could listen to on a regular basis. Her original song was amazing, as was her duet.

Javier has a good voice, but he sounds like most of the other male singers.

Beverly has a great voice, just not sure I could listen to her regularily.

Dia... ugh. I don't like her one bit. There is nothing unique about her voice or looks imo. She doesn't even look enthused about any of it unless she's hugging Blake.

I get the feeling from Vicci and Beverly like they really WANT it. Javier has had his chance with a label too and it didn't work out.

eta: We never watch AI or the other singing shows. No interest. We watched this one only because of the original format. I'd definitely watch another season.

To me, Dia' voice is just wishy-washy. Her duet? Worst cover of Tom Petty I've ever heard. The song sould be powerful. She sounded like a"I won't back down...please, I mean if it's ok with you. I hope you don't mind". I also feel like she doesn't have an emotional range ' all her songs sound the same,
I did think that her song last night was the best she has done on the sh ow. But she seemed to fall flat every time she came to the chorus. She also seems to "hide behind' h er stage eq, the mike or the piano. I thibk that if she continues to mature she will improve with more confidence.

Javier is good, but nothing super unique. I would listen to his music though. I wasn't blown away by his orig piece, but the duet was awesome.

Vicci and Beverly are spectacular. Both can play well to the audience and have fabulous expression in their songs. their have a powerful vocal range, but can also do low-key emotional pieces. I did like beverly's stage show better though.
