Is anyone else having issues with Hoover's Hatchery waterfowl?

This is my first season buying from them. So far, Golden 300 and African geese are thriving, but Silver Swedish and Embden Geese really high mortality rates. Of 4 Silver Swedish only one is healthy enough to join the other ducks on the pond; 1 died after a few weeks the same size as a newborn, 2 others still alive but weak in the legs and small in stature. The Embdens apparently have a respiratory infection and 7 of 14 died before I understood what was happening and started them on antibiotics. I know Hoover's is a volume producer but didn't expect such losses.

I called them about the Embdens and they suggested giving them a broad spectrum antibiotic, but strongly denied any origin of disease from their facility. With regards to the silver swedish, I just assumed since they have recessive color genes to not expect too much from them, and I paid only $1 each.
Have you talked to Hoovers about this?

I've not heard of silver Swedish having problems but we don't see alot of them here either.

Did the goslings come to you sickly? Did you start them on antibiotics. I'm sorry for all your losses.

I ordered 15 but the store staff said one arrived weak and died that night. They are now on tetracycline, Tylosin, and VetRx. No more losses today. They look sick in the eyes but were honking and eating and drinking today. One had a swollen cheek like impetigo and it vanished today thankfully. I did pay $200 for these, next time I'll just pay a bit more and go with Metzer.

Hi, just an update. A colleague in the next town was also experiencing losses among her poultry and one duck tested positive for botulism. We think it came from the feed from Family Farm and Home (they distribute Hoover's poultry). We both brought home meat chickens from different FFH stores about 10-14 days before our birds started getting sick.

As of today 6 of the 14 Embdens are alive (one looks struggling), one of the silver swedish and one turkey poult are partially paralyzed.
