We generally do a litter pooper picking daily. So the odor won't get so ofensive. Weekly, we'll do a 1/2 clean out, monthly, totally sweep amd spray/ hose out the coop. It's very small right now, just a 4'x4'x4' Works fine formy two hens and one roo. 3/4' plywood, seems like Fort Knox! Sure beats chicken wire and 2x4's
