Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

Thanks!
It wasn't very fast compared to some of the cars and drivers, but still a lot of fun!
(not so much fun in the dust, I think we were both thinking some 'not so polite' things about the car in front, not that it was really their fault, although they should have let us past sooner)
Super exciting to watch! I just love that stuff!

Did you hear the launch control at the start? (I think you had asked previously what it sounded like)
One thing I loved about this rally, was that one was allowed to spin at the start, which was a first for us!
So, first time using launch control!
Yes, I heard it, awesome! I think I heard the rev limiter a couple of times too. Going through that dust must have been super scary! I can only compare that to diving through our central valley's tule fog, but when doing that, we're on straight, paved roads!

I love how it sounds, although it is more for fun then practicality!
And yes, you would have heard the rev limiter as well.
To be honest, I don't think the dust is scary when one is doing it, because one is too annoyed about it!
One does have a system call rallysafe, which alerts one to stopped cars, and also has a thing call push to pass, which alerts the car in front to the fact you are there and want to pass.
So I was pushing that butten, helping to look where we are going, and keeping track of where we are, and what the next call will be.
Not really enough brain power to be scared at the same time!
Anyway, I expect I am boring everyone, so I will shut up now! (I expect you can tell that it is one of my favorite subjects!)

Anybody else think the crash test videos are entertaining, or is it just me?
They can be!
Very interesting as well!
At a local show, they had some SUVs that had been crashed tested, and one could walk around them and see just how much damage had been done.
Pretty scary actually, seeing how much the dash had come into the cockpit.

It sounds super cool!

I've heard that a lot a the MC races I've been too.

You two looked liked you handled it very well.

That's cool, makes it much safer, and easier to pass people!

My brother & ex-boyfriend, both retired firefighters, have some interesting stories to tell.

Well thanks!
Its not the first time it happened, and its not going to be the last either.

It does make it much safer, if you crash you either select OK, or SOS if you need help. It goes back to HQ, so they can send fire and medical in ASAP if needed.

Thats good! 🤣
Because this is a blind rally, (no pacenotes, just a road book that tells you the hazards and which way to go) and a fair way away from us, this was the first time ever on these road for us. Definitely made it a bit more challenging not knowing what to expect!

This is was car 1, so one of the fastest.
They had a bad accident on the second stage, which they were pretty lucky to come out of, and got airlifted to hospital.
Both are now on the mend.
