Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

Suck! Is that the gearbox in the normal car or the new one? and is it the trans or did you nuke the clutch?
So it's a standard box, but with a lowered final drive, and diff.
The clutch is fine, so it's something in the actual box which has gone, like it could be second gear.
Most likely there are bits of metal everywhere in it, but we won't know until it gets opened up.

Finally had some fun last weekend, at the Narooma forest rally.
We had some issues, the first one was self-inflicted, as the wheel nuts were forgotten about, and should have been torqued.
At the end of this stage, one wheel was about to come off, held on by two of the four wheel studs, and those two were bent.
Did an emergency repair on the side of the road just past the stop control.

Ok, I know it's not a car....but it's close enough right!?
And we had a lot of fun, including plenty of practice on firetrail hump/jumps :D

There's some snow on the furthest mountains.

Hell yeah!

That looks like fun
I am so in love with this type of riding. It has so many thrills, challenges, and just down right fun.
I only fell of once, which is always a bonus. :lau
Although, I did get one jump wrong, and only just held on; after that I re-thought what I was doing.
We (my brother and myself) lost both our L plates, and he lost half is number plate. I'm just glad no cop stopped us, as I have also lost my front indicators on the last trip.

I have got my rally drivers licence now! (only had a rally navigators one before, and a speed licence for Khanacross and hillclimbs)
My car is away getting the roll cage put in. I have entered an event at the end of this month, but I'm not sure if the car will be done, so might have to withdraw from that one; but I have also entered one next month, so I'll be out there soon in one way or another.

Also, Motorsport Australia (MA) the governing body has gone down another level of safety ideas made by office people.
To compete in tarmac events one now has to pay around $2000 or more per person to get a licence and do training, which is basically the end of it.
Luckly we don't do tarmac events, so it doesn't really effect us....and to be fair they did have to do something after multiple fatalities in past years.
