Is ANYONE having flea problems besides me ?

Obviously I am gonna have to invest in some borax, too. I use Frontline Plus for the dogs and cats, and THEY are okay. Fleas never used to bite me - I was always so lucky (mosquitoes, on the other hand, LOVE me and I welt up horribly, have to take drugs to live through more than one bite).

But not this past couple of weeks. Freakin' fleas are biting ME. I'm 57 years old and these are the first few flea bites I have ever had. NOT FAIR.

I don't know really. We've never used the drops. We started the boys on Comfortis as soon as they were old enough (I think it's 14 weeks). We don't have the cats on anything, because they are in the house full-time and the boys are on their comfortis. Never had a problem with fleas. It helps that where we live is so isolated, so no stray animals bring in fleas.

LOL. I'll vaccum more. I'm already vaccuming EVERYWHERE daily, but Ima

get me some borax.

We have sugar ants trying to come in to, so maybe

borax will help us out with that to! LauraJean thankyou so much for the artical!

Just 3 or 4 and then off to the next.

In this entire year we've seen maybe 5 fleas. Our dogs have had one or two on them,

and thats all we've seen, before we treated them. But my little beagle mix just has flea

allergies, according to my vet. Poor guy! gritsar I don't think our vet carries that. We've

asked for tablets and they give us a $20 dollar tablet that only lasts 24 hours.

And it didn't help

ANYTHING. We were ticked.

Nope it's not just you. Ours are already starting to have a problem. Last year was HORRIBLE. DH's bud switched meds for his dog repeatedly because nothing worked... spray lawn stuff didn't work, powder lawn stuff didn't work. Those little demons have become immune to the chemicals I guess.

Thinking it's time to break out the light bulbs and pie plates.

Exactly what my vet said he saw with frontline. Try another brand.

I use no chemical flea products on my cats or dogs and never have any problems with fleas. In the spring, summer and fall I will feed garlic. I mix it with ground beef. I also use lavender and cedar oils mixed with water to make a spray if needed. 8-10 drops of each oil mixed with about a cup of water works for me. Lavender also helps with itching.
