^^^is being broody so bad??^^^

Keep her away from the nest. Its best for them to be broody in the warmer months. You may have to seperate her from her normal coop. One great thing about a broody is that you dont have to plug her in and when the eggs hatch she is the brooder. She is the best mother the chicks can have. But for many folks this take some of the fun out of it. Just me I dont think January and Feburary are the times to raise chicks anywere north of where there is citris trees.
 
it take 21-22 days for a hen to succesfully breed chicks
u should get some fertile eggs
nothing beats the sight of a mother hen under a few chicks

Some will stay broody for 3 months, if no eggs hatch. They will get off the nest to eat and drink every day...

Only reason to keep them from going broody , is they stop laying........ I use game hens to set eggs under ,then move them to a incubator.

Most broody hens can be broke, just dont let them near nest boxes ,or eggs
