Is BYC Experiencing Cabin Fever?

I watch Rawhide with Clint Eastwood every Saturday. He's always the cute guy on the show. :)

We got buried in snow yesterday. Up to my waist in some areas. :thI'm hoping my roof doesn't collapse under the snow weight.

I haven't read Lord of the Rings, I tried The Hobbit when I was a teen and couldn't understand it. I now love the movies and we watch them yearly here. It takes a week or two to get through them. :)

I had a hard time reading the Hobbit in my youth too. I wanted to like it so bad, but it just wasn't an easy read for me. I still have the book, but I don't think any of my kids have tried to read it yet.

I understood Spongebob in that sentence but that's it... and I'm not really sure why I know that considering I've never seen the show....

This made me think of the time many years ago when co-workers with "tweens" at home were talking about this new singer their kids were into, called "Justin Bieber"

For some reason I thought they were saying it wrong and informed them it was "Biebler" with an L

They all all had a good laugh at the fact they were saying it wrong, and then one of them went home and tried to correct their kid...

Next day they came back and told me it was in fact pronounced with no L.... and I had to ask myself why I thought I would know that either way considering I had no kids, and wasn't even sure who we were talking about, or why or where I'd even heard the name ever in my life. :idunno.... but at the time I thought for sure there was an L in it.

What about Drake and Josh? Phinneas and Ferb? Fairy God Parents?
These were all staples in my life as a kid. Hmmm, what movies were hot growing up? Hunger Games, Ender's Game, Ready Player One. Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and Divergent series were all the talk growing up. Everyone who was anyone had read them!!


Kids nowadays make me sad. They don't even read books for school :(

  • Phinneas and Ferb! ... Yay! I've heard of them....don't recall what they are though, but I think I had a nephew that was into them.
  • Fairy God Parents? nope
  • Hunger Games? Yep! Just watched that series of movies a couple of years ago.
  • Ender's Game? nope
  • Ready Player One? nope
  • Percy Jackson and Divergent series? nope
