I know - for 8 months a year I dont' care, the people before put the bathroom on the back in what I think would have been the pig stalls (I'll try to get some pics of the back to explain better), it is only about 6 steps from the back door into the bathroom but when it is pouring or freezing it sucks big time! We have plans for a family bathroom and an ensuite off our future bedroom but we are trying to focus on getting a rental ready so keep putting it off! Doesn't help that dh has been diagnosed with fibro myalgia so we are a year if not 2 behind! We have owned the house 3.5 years. Things like insulation / woodburners / double glazing somehow keep trumping the new bathroom!Indoor plumbing is good!
Have you lived there in your barn house long?
Thank you we do too! That’s fabulous!! I love it!
I know - one of the mainest reasons we left Oz and returned to France! DH really struggled when we were in Australia with the thought of having to have an enourmous morgage for a house that would probably fall over in the next 50 years or is built 'like a UK shed' (I quote my dh) - our last place we rented was AMAZING - views straight over the pacific ocean - I was weeding one day and looked up and saw whales playing. However it was built from wood with total wall width of about 10cm
 - a bit different to the 60 cm stone walls we have here! It recently sold for $850,000

I'd love you to! I'm actually thinking I'm going to do a BYC special price!Just...WOW! I love it so much! Would dearly love to be able to stay there some day!

Does anybody play Mahjong on the computer? Its my favorite.
Although I more often play my other games. My current game is Subnautica. Living vicariously through all the warm, tropical waters. So what if there are big predatory fish trying to eat me and an alien disease infecting me as well, it's warm and sunny

Well, at least above 500 meters it is.Hi, no I dont' think I have so you here go! This is the northern end where we live - when we are done we'll have 5 bedrooms and one big long living space:

This is the middle section (and oldest - according to research this bit could be from as early as in the 1600s or as late as 1700's with the stone steps and stone sink inside) - this is where we are doing the first holiday rental (yes to rent out for tourists):

This is the 'big barn' at the other end - we want to eventually renovate this too into another rental - should be able to get 4 beds - it is pretty huge (hard to tell by the pics - I come up to not much over the horizontal bit of wood on the door to try to give scale):

Some of the scale of renovations - this is the 'door' we have knocked through between the kitchen and bathroom in the holiday rental - the wall is 60cm (about 2ft) thick!

OMGosh I love, Love, LOVE this!!!!
