Yes! It is absolutely necessary to find the right balance between ALL the colors! Too much of one shade makes your basket look washed out instead of exquisitely vibrant.

What breeds of layers do you have?

Right now I have a Sapphire, 3 Cream Legbars and 1 Welsummer. I got them as chicks from another BYC member in WY. I could have got others from the local feed stores but neither of the store's personnel seemed to have a clue what they had or how to handle them, so it felt right to go with someone experienced.

Speckle, my broody came off her eggs earlier, so I jumped in with a torch to have a quick candle. She been on them for 8 days now. Well my 2 Maran eggs don't look like they are fertile. 1 of the araucana eggs looks a bit iffy but the last 3 araucana eggs are definately fertile! (probably 3 cockerals!) I'll leave the other three for a couple more days and candle again. If there's nothing I'll remove them.

This weekend I am celebrating some what.... Just got confirmation that my Cardeologist approved the Surgery and faxed the info to the Bariatric doc... Gotto love email and internet.

seeems like things are rolling along. which dually makes me and I have to keep reminding myself that I want to live another forty years....

I guess thats a big one....

Yeah, you are probably a little conflicted right now. Everyone I know that has had this type of surgery is doing great, and very much healthier and happier because of it. Besides, ya gotta stick around a while now; I'm just getting to know ya, and I ain't done with ya!
