That sounds like an interesting situation. :p
Yep she is was a force of nature.... born in 1916... Her oldest brother was off to fight in the war.... WWI. She didnt meet him till she was ten. She worked as a Rosie the riveter during WWII. One of the first women to be offered a job in engineering in the post war days.

She fired three husbands ... and stayed with the fourth. He was a sheet metal man and she was an efficiency expert for one of the airforce bases... I forget which. We all were in aviation in some form or other.

Here in San Diego Aviation was Big plane Tooling and Rockets... I worked on the Atlas Centaur Commercial retrofit.

But I Digress... Grandma thinks I am a failure because I didnt get a government job and didnt get married... Never mind that I worked my way up to Manufacturing Engineer... Sigh.

Summers to me are a cacophony of colors across a parched landscape while I sip tea in the late afternoon and read To Kill A Movkingbird for the 1000th time. God I love summer. Lightning Bugs, frogs croaking, the quiet mood from the cows across the road. It’s just a magical time for me.
Wow are you a writer I could see it ... I got goosebumps up one arm....

:bowYou're a romantic... You'll never stay single saying such beautifully descriptive things.

Hmmm....I'm experiencing the polar opposite of cabin fever. All I want in life is a good, fluffy, lasting accumulation of snow, but does it stay around? No! :rantWarm weather, everything melts, temperatures drop 20 degrees the next day, we're left with a natural ice rink, and I'm forever falling on my butt (as if that doesn't happen enough already without ice ;)). Vicious cycle. Honestly makes me crabby.

I'd take snow over ice any day! I understand where you're coming from :hugs

You're a good man Porky. Only a real man would acknowledge that the fear is real. ;)

My hubby acknowledges it. He tells people I’ll climb him like a tree. :lau

There’s that Agree-to-disagree thing. :gig
I could do with a very brief “winter”. I like to see snow, but about a week is enough of it for me.
