is catfood bad for poultry?

I've been given canned cat food for years. Just a small amount a few times a week. Mainly the ocean fish with all the omega's. Good for feathers condition.

I am well aware people give their chickens cat food and that's up to them. I, however, never will. I am also aware chickens are omnivores and if they wish to supplement their diet of pellets, mealworms and other treats by catching moths, ants or mice, then they are most welcome. I certainly would not presume to feed them cat food. Ew.
I'd feed my cat cat food, because it is a cat, same as I'd feed my dog dog food, because it is a dog and I'd hope the premium price I'm paying for species-specific food is because they have been researched as being good for said species. My chickens get chicken food.

What would be the difference in feeding table scraps and say a cat food like this,
Turkey, Chicken Meal, Chicken, Herring Meal, Chicken Fat, Peas, Egg, Turkey Meal, Pea Fiber, Natural Flavors, Apples, Carrots, Cranberries, Herring Oil, Tomatoes, Pumpkin, Dried Chicory Root, Cottage Cheese, Alfalfa Sprouts, Taur, DL Methionine, Minerals, Vitamins, Direct-Fed Microbials?

Sorry, I see no difference at all.

Chris

One person who did a bunch of research on poultry nutrition felt it was not a good idea. An unspecified quantity of methionine is in your list of ingredients. Is this a good amount of it for chickens, too much, or not enough?

Honestly, I'm not interested enough to do my own research. Anecdotal experience indicates it's OK at least in limited quantities. I don't feed it, but would not freak out if my chickens got into the cat food at times.
