My Coop
My ducks have just now moved into their run. They come in the garage at night tho cuz their coop is not yet done. My ducks have been more timed them usual. They usually run for treats and come to see what food I have for them. Now they just go toward the end of the run. When they eat out of my hand they are kinda dodgy when they take the food out. Would love to hear you answers and replys!

You’ll never get them cuddly but if you sit quietly around them they will like being around you probably even eat out of your hand as long as you don’t try and pet one. I have Runners that after 2 yrs just now feel comfortable enough to come around me while I sit outside with them a few will even eat out of my hand

It’s funny because my ~5w old Pekins follow me all over the yard, but the second I turn around, they go the other way. We have a love/terror relationship apparently. If I sit in their run, they do like to come over and bite my shoes and jewelry. The best you can hope for with adult ducks is for them to know you are the person with the mealworms.

One of mine will tolerate pats on his front, in exchange for tomato. Cuddly is just not in the cards, but mine do like me being around. Try being low as possible, my yard has a lower and upper part, they're on the upper so I can look shorter to them.
