Is chick grit enough calcium for Coturnix Quail?

You'll be wanting oyster shell for calcium. Shell and grit should be offered all the time, "free choice." Just lave a small dish or lid full of each in with the birds, they'll only take as much as they need.

Girt does not provide calcium. Grit is small rocks eaten to be used to break down food in the gizzard. Chick grit will work for this purpose. Calcium is something different. It is part of their nutrition. Calcium helps strengthen their egg shells and bones and prevents certain ailments. Most people provide it with oyster shells, which can be bought at feed stores. Both grit and calcium should be offered in a separate dish. They will only eat it when they need.

Grit is needed for digestion in quail but is not digestible itself, so they won't get any calcium from it. When the quail reach laying age they will need a calcium supplement. You can use chicken egg shells ground up and sprinkled over their food, and there are other options.

Would feeding their shells back to them work as a supplement? Thank you.
