Is Coop too small for 4 hens? PIC

"Should I run down to the hardware store and get a couple more 4x4s and extend it another 8 ft?"
It was late, we were cold and I said No, don't worry they'll be fine!!

Normally, I would say go hit yourself over the head with a frying pan and think about the BAD THING you said!

However... That coop and the run will be a great brooder setup and a great place for your pullets before they are ready to go into your big girl coop and big girl run.

That may not make sense right now, but very soon I predict you will know exactly what I mean.

Order 6 buffs, and get them started indoors in a brooder. Get a big coop done and you can move your two hens into it, and then you can put your 6 little buffs in that nice little setup you have there until they are ready to go in with the big girls.

It's an addiction. Admitting it is the first step... Just admit you need a bigger coop and more chickens, and you will be well on your way.

You must be a young married couple---First you must learn to NEVER< EVER tell your dh "No, they will be fine" when he is on a roll.. You should have said (and repeat after me) " Oh, you know better than me, maybe we could do that first thing in the morning. And since you think 8 more feet will be better maybe we could do it another 4 or 8 feet." LOL...

Really, now--what possessed me to join this forum when there are people like you out there constantly putting these wild ideas into my head! Sigh...

Finally finished the run today, even hung the hex sign as Mr. Hawk circled above. But my camera batteries were dead so I'll get a picture tomorrow.

Signing off now and will not return for 6 months, and I mean it this time
