Is gopher repellent good for chickens to be around?

My Brother in Law is spreading that around the yard. I saw him coming towards my place in which my coop is there, with the bag in his hands. When he saw I was there he turned around and then I saw him spreading it over in the yard where he is.

Can this be harmful to them?

It's supposed to be watered into the holes/lawn. There isn't anything poison to chickens but I sure wouldn't want mine eating it. If he watered it in good though, it should be okay.
