Thank you. Yeah those were the reasons I was starting to wonder as well, but wasn't sure if it was maybe a breed difference. :-/Pattern for starters is the dead give away. Boys are double barred so they appear lighter than the girls who only have a single barring gene. Also the growth/redness of the comb combined with the age of just 8 weeks.
