Ah, that makes sense.

His legs are thin, but some birds are just super slow to mature. Unless it is a transgendered hen, you've got yourself a roo! And sexlink definitely makes sense! If it were a hen, it would most likely be laying already.

I have no idea what that bird is. All I know is he/she doesn't look anything like my Cuckoo Marans roo.

Wow! I had no idea that sexing a chicken could be this difficult; guess that's a newbie for you. I ordered all pullets, but I'm sure some will become questionable as time goes on. I look forward to hearing everyone's opinions (expert or not) when I eventually do post...I learn so much from reading this forum; sometimes so much it makes my head swim.

While I heartily agree the OP bird was a rooster, the thread was from 2008 and the bird in question is likely long dead by now. Kinda makes the whole thing a moot point
