That looks perfect to me. I like how it is uniformly coarse. Mine is coarse mixed with fine, but it would drain better in downpours (we get some intense weather in Texas) if it was all coarse. Still looks small enough to not bother their feet, and to fall through a kitty litter scoop or shovel with ¼” or 3/8” holes drilled.
