Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

1/29/2014 Update: 5 days past since I finished giving him Baytril for 7 days. ( it should be 5 days.. but I tried anyway.)

Deckie is still loosing a lot of feathers.

I bought Milk Thistle at Rite Aid where is closest from our house. I didn't have a chance to go to GNC. :)
Well, I have giving her for 2 days so far. The capsule is huge. So I dip some crickets into the powder to feed her, or add some liquid
to the powder and make a small ball to put it in her mouth.

Some of her poops are egg yolk color, but the others are like pictures above.

She is slow to move, and not active, but she has a lot of appetite, which is good.

Her abdomen is not too large to consider to drain her yet.

Thank you Pwand! That is very informative!! I will contact with them to ask about Deckie's problem!

She seems fine. :)
After reading the article of egg yolk peritonitis, I am glad that Deckie has refused to eat her regular food.
She is eating some seeds that are for our new pet Green and gold macaw who is very nippy.

My husband strongly goes against with me about draining her when I asked again.
Her abdomen is still large but not as much as I concern about it. That is more trouble for me besides the procedure.( draining her)

Her comb gets shrank, I wonder?

She was more active today chasing after crickets all over.

Every morning, after she poops solid one, the next poop is always egg color's.

I got 1000 crickets from this site. http://www.grubco.com/store/store_product_detail.cfm?Product_ID=3
All of them are alive!

I feed the left one to Deckie. She loves them.

At the end, he/she is the one who my husband had been wanting since he was a kid.
Well, unfortunately this macaw nips at my husband a lot. So this macaw doesn't perch on my husband recently.
It is very difficult to handle this bird for sure.

You are welcome. Thats a cute picture of Deckie and those live crickets. :) She wants that container opened now!! LOL

We have a Parrot rescue close by, I think there is at least over a 1000 there. I went to see it, it was a heart breaker.

Hi Pwand! :) Yeah, she kept pecking, then she realized that she couldn't, so she kept staring at them after that.. LOL

Oh my... over 1000 parrots... I can't imagine.. My husband got this macaw at Craigslist.. He is very skeptical and very scared of any kind of sticks...
Once I was dusting the ceiling on the living room ( he was in the dining room ), he screamed head off and lost balance and fell off... :( I was really shocked..
Well, hopefully he is not abused. He is very nippy and bit me a couple times, but not anymore. My husband and our kids are scared of him because he bites. :( although they like him. :)

2/5/2014 Update

Deckie started to open her mouth to breath heavily today. I am planing to give her Baytril on Friday which will be 14 days since last time she got.

Her abdomen is not enlarged, just little big, but not like a water balloon. I feel like she has tumors, and I think that I better not to drain her for this situation.
There is no cure for this unless she can get a surgery at the early stage.

I have been through this whenever she needs antibiotics. This time, I feel different... She looks pale, and her comb shrank.

She may feel better when I give her Baytril again... but who knows..
