When I was vent sexing my birds I noticed that one of the 5 hens had a cherry red, round mass about 1 centimeter extruded from her vent when I lifted her tail
. It receded back into her vent almost immediately & doesn't extrude when she is free........
......... I am not sure if this hen is laying. I have never gotten more than 4 eggs in a day. I am thinking I should cull her?
