I'm not really a "newbie" I've got some experience but I'm no expert so I needs y'all's help my new incubator isn't displaying the humidity everything is hooked up so I've finally come to the conclusion that it doesn't work but I've been trying to keep the humidity up but it's very foggy and I think it's getting to high but the eggs seem to still be developing fine so I don't want to bring it down is it bad if humidity gets to high?

For most of the hatch you should not have any 'fogging' up of the incubator unless it's in a very cool location... On hatch day or 'lock down' some fogging up might occur if you are able to get the humidity above 70% inside the incubator and temp outside the incubator is say bellow 75°F, this is natural as the noninsulated window of the incubator will allow the air close to it to drop down to dew point temp and condensate...

Humidity measurements are not really relevant in the end, if the air sack is developing properly and the egg is losing the proper amount of weight then you are AOK...

Go to a pet store and get a cheap terrarium temperature and humidity gauge, or go to Walmart and get one of these...

They are not perfect but they will give you a good idea on the level of humidity and also provide a second verification of temp...
