Is it bad to put apple cider vinegar in a chrome waterer?

Every once in a while I add some vinegar to their water, but that's nit the main topic. I use a chrome bowl as their waterer, but I've read before that apple cider vinegar rusts metal. Though, my bowl is chrome, not metal. My question is if it'll still rust the metal.

Chrome is metal. You really don't want the acid leaching the chrome into their water. Not a good thing.

it is not just the chrome alone (chromium), but the toxic chemicals used in the chrome plating process. Over the years some of the chemicals used have been banned in some countries.

Just don't do it, not worth the risk.
