It’s only myself and I only have two chickens due to loss. My question is can I add 3 hens an odd number? Or will it work better with only 2 keeping the flock to a even number? I am concerned the third bird would be the odd women out and by herself, 4x4 coop- lots of outside run space. Tia

I agree with above
Even or odd does not matter.
Good luck adding new hens to your flock!

The only number that's advised against is 1, not that it's impossible to add a single bird but more difficult since yes they can get singled out.

If your coop is 4x4 I wouldn't keep more than 4. While a flock that was raised together might be more forgiving of tighter quarters, integration usually goes far smoother with more room.
