Is it good to sprout seeds without sunlight?

I have sprouted seeds in the shade, it has grown but the leaves are yellow. Is it good to feed chickens or not?

It'll be fine to feed to them, but it's better to sprout in/with sun light.

I grow microgreens and yes they are perfectly fine to feed to chickens ,there only yellow from lack of sun , just think plants under ground are yellow until they break through the soil and absorb the sunlight.

My fodder looks like that at first. I move it to a window for a little sunlight 24 hours before I feed, you would be surprised at how green it gets. But it really isn't a must, lots of nutrition with just the seed sprout.
