Is it harmful to confine a layer in a run who is accustomed to laying out in the yard?

Thanks for the suggestion.... Not a lot of stuff in there. I think I'll make that my project this weekend. They already broke me this morn :-/ Henny, one of the two that hasn't started laying flew out and I couldn't get her back in without everyone else getting out. So round one: Chickens- One, Me- Zero
I'm actually home sick from work today so not really in the condition to tackle the project of making their run more enriching. But I think planning that and clipping Henny's wings will be a good plan for now

Ok - UPDATE:
Henny's wing is clipped, very thoroughly. Yesterday I spent several hours rehabbing their run. As my daughter put it (in the voice of an infomercial host), " Chicken run to Chicken FUN!"
They seem to be fairly content to hang out in there, at least for now.
This morning I collected 3 eggs... :)

:thumbsup My Chicken Enclosure is 7' high, I sometimes hang apples or pears from the frame work off a string, others do cabbage or whatever else, fun to watch once they figure out what it is. There are those toys for chickens that you put treats in & they try getting it out, or make your own with a clear plastic bottle by drilling some holes in them making sure it's small enough (don't come pouring out) and large enough the scratch seeds come out. I just toss a bit of dry feed, BOSS or MW on the ground....They scratch & hunt. They're fine...

There ya go!
Keep them in there for at least a week,
range a bit late in day just before roost time to assuage your guilt a bit.
