Is it healthier to let them stop laying during the winter?

I have to agree here, now they will have to be weaned off the added heat...keep us posted on how they do!

I've been watching the temperature and everything is going great. The girls seem happy and the eggs have dropped off from 3-5 eggs a day to 1-2. Outside temperature has warmed up a little so the transition has been gradual. If it drops down to -15 below I'll probably add a space heater instead of the lamp. Thanks for all the advice.
