I have always dreamed of going out to collect eggs. I don't know where this came from. I've only been collecting my eggs for about 3 months but it is still so exciting. I go out 3 times a day just to check. I usually get 3 a day. Even my hubby will come home from work and ask how many eggs I got today.

I don't think it will ever get old.

Love my girls and their eggs are such a bonus. It has become a family event, wonder if the children will ever stop fighting over collecting them. They acidentally smashed one and apologised to the chidkens promising them not to fight over their eggs again LMAO.

I love my dream girls and they love me. I pick eggs 3 times a day no matter the weather. I always thank them profusely for "such nice eggs". They (9 buff orpingtons) will be a year old this spring and we've already had the "talk" about the moult and we are all fine with it. When they are on the nest, i can reach under them, they lift up, i grab the eggs and they sit back down. They never peck at me. We get along so well. I spend a lot of time talking to my girls and we've had a lot of "heart to heart" chats.

They are a little spoiled with treats.

I still enjoy getting eggs... my reward to the girls... (letting them free range right away) as soon as i meet them at their main door. i let them out.. they are happy. I want them to be happy!

I bring all 5 eggs inside (still getting alot even in the cold) and let my 2 lil toddlers count them,, its a fun start to the morning.
