Is it legal to sell eggs?

I've pretty much lived by this policy all my life and fared pretty well

Got in trouble at home as a kid more than any other time in my life. I'm a pretty good B.S.'er, I guess..

Hey there! I'm a newbie from KY. I asked our extention agent the same question and yes techically you need a license blah blah blah. Then later that night I sold 3 dozen at our garden club meeting held at the office!

Have a list of potential buyers now waiting for my girls to get their orders filled. If you are worried about lawsuits...follow the rules, if not walk on the wild side!

Talking to your extension agent is a good idea. Find out what is required for yourself. Please don't take offence Koolduck, but I believe in checking certain things out for myself and not trusting everything I see on the internet. If you find out you do need some type of license, find out what is involved in getting one. Then make your decision. It may be easier than you think and it may not. But at least you are deciding from a position of knowledge and not making assumptions that can get you into serious trouble. Note Koolduck's last comment.

Even if you found you were violating a local ordinance, I don't think they could stop you from selling eggs "for decorative purposes". I have heard of people selling their homemade wine claiming they were selling the bottles, and not what they happened to contain.
