Is it legal to show this bird?

I have and have raised Runner ducks for several years. All colors run in one pen. This year I hatched a runner that is the best I have ever hatched. His posture is perfect. He is snow white. He does not have a black feather on his body. SO my question is Since he is not out of 2 white runners is he still showable. He is a purebred Runner just different colors. I do not want to cheat or rip anyone off. Any help would be appreciated.

I would think you could show him, no problem. Go for it. When it comes breeding time, you know the score, but I don't see why you couldn't show him... Anyone?

yeah sure u can show him but dont breed him for anyone till u know what he produces, but no problem showing

im sure someone wo knows the rules will know, i just dont think you could actually say he is a pure white since he has other genes, but i wouldnt know for sure

Thanks for the input. I am not planning on selling eggs from him as purebred. I just wanted to know about showing him.

He would be fine to show. He's as fine to show as any other white drake.
White in ducks is recessive. You just need a male & a female to carry the white gene. If bred to whites ducks he ought to breed true. Like recessive white chickens, it is not the best plan to breed to non- whites as the colour underneath is mostly unknown but stick to whites & he ought to be as good to breed as any other white drake.

As long as his feet, legs and bill is orange show him as a white..
