Is it normal for a hen...

Thank you for the advice and the correction on spelling! I never actually had to spell it before I just call them Easter Eggers. Haha but I just went out to take a picture and here she is. View attachment 1992119
Oh she’s just so cute :love Although, I don’t think she’s an Ameraucana? They are supposed to have beards and muffs, your cutie does not. She could be an Easter Egger, but she doesn’t look like the ones you typically see :idunno

I have an Americana who I’m pretty certain is a hen, nine months old, and is mounting my other hens. Is that normal?? I haven’t heard any rooster crowing or anything else that makes me believe it’s a Roo. I’ve just never heard of a hen mounting other hens before. Or am I completely wrong and it’s a Roo who just doesn’t crow?
US AMERAUCANA ROOSTERS CROW! sQUAWK!

She is an Easter Egger. Not all of them have muffs and beards. I have had a number of girls mount the others lower in the pecking order. They are showing that they are in charge. My understanding is that this does not happen if there is a rooster present because he is the dominant bird.
