So she is just showing her dominant side. Makes me feel better. I’m not allowed to have any roosters in my town or I have to get rid of all my chickens! I’ve already had to get rid of two males this past year!

Oh she’s just so cute Although, I don’t think she’s an Ameraucana? They are supposed to have beards and muffs, your cutie does not. She could be an Easter Egger, but she doesn’t look like the ones you typically see

I don't see any saddle feathers or a distinctive cape. That's one determination I make in trying to figure out who's what and what's who.

I have an Americana who I’m pretty certain is a hen, nine months old, and is mounting my other hens. Is that normal?? I haven’t heard any rooster crowing or anything else that makes me believe it’s a Roo. I’ve just never heard of a hen mounting other hens before. Or am I completely wrong and it’s a Roo who just doesn’t crow?

She is an Easter Egger. Not all of them have muffs and beards. I have had a number of girls mount the others lower in the pecking order. They are showing that they are in charge. My understanding is that this does not happen if there is a rooster present because he is the dominant bird.
