Is it normal for australorp to have this much coloring?

B16 and B17 have light brown/gold eyes, B15 has very dark brown or black eyes.

The blue hen is the mother, she's a Blue Cuckoo Marans.View attachment 3374486
That means the chick is a male.

I thought the barring gene was "an absence of coloration in the
feather, causing white stripes (bars) on the feathers".

So isn't this just misplaced lacing. Blue Australorps and Blue Marans are laced. The bottom of the hens foot could give a clue to if she was Marans.

I can't see it well, but doesn't that chick have yellow legs?
