Is it normal for chicks to struggle walking ?

Sorry to be a pain it’s my first hatch. 4 have hatched the first one took about a 1/2 day to start really walking she’s still unbalanced a bit my other 3 still are not running or walking as well as she is they hatched abt 12 hours after her is this normal? I do not see any curled toes or splayed legs .

It sounds normal to me. The first day after hatching they mostly lie down or move in short bursts of energy looking quite flat with their 'knees' bent. Some are able to stagger around for a few seconds. The second day they are mostly able to stand and walk for a few seconds at a time. By the third day there is no stopping them.

That’s good to know. I’ve always gotten my chicks from hatcheries and they gone zooming around but they call them day old chicks lol

They are shipped as day olds. By the time they reach the buyer, they are several days old.
