HAH! U won't get any help here....I went from 10 on Feb 27th to 86 on May 29th. 25 got butchered, but still.....

I just husband and a friend just put plans together to build me a bigger coop, we'll keep the smaller one for the banty chicks and build a new one for the larger girls, but every couple of days it increases, first I said 6x8 yeah right, then it was 8x10 now its 8x12, I just ordered more eggs and I have 12 chicks being sent out too, my husband found out and just rolled his eyes.
I said well as long as we haven't built the coop yet we can adjust the size for how much room they will need.
He better get the coop built before I keep buying.
I only have like 41 and then well those other eggs that are coming and well a few others I have me eye on.........

Um, is it bad when you don't know the exact number you have?!!

I mean, I could probably add it up, but that would be like shooting myself in the foot because right now Hubby is still buying the "I only have about 20 chickens out there" line and that's not counting the coop of bantams and the 16 chicks in the house NOR the 7 chicks I brought home 2 weeks ago

Ah, the in the house thing......I have to post about this in a new thread!! thanks for reminding me! You sound like me though!! there are only 23 not counting the 8 inside and about 20 on the way!!

I only wanted one, then 3, then 4, now I have 20, and EE eggs on the way. I told my DH that I won the eggs on BYC cause I already promised him I was done buying eggs.
My God, what's happening to us? I think we really do need hatchaholic anon.
What is it about these chickens? Is it memories from the past? My grandma had chickens, not as pets. So why do I have them as pets?
