Ya, my baby chicks are like a 2 weeks old or less and I have been seeing them running and eating the Pink sand in my yard, is that dangerous for them? They are also eating concrete crumbs? Is that also dangerous?
You know the Pink sand that you use to mix gravel and cement with? Is it ok?

Keep an eye on them and make sure they don't get impacted crops, but otherwise a little bit of grit shouldn't hurt them if they're around two weeks, they're at the age where they'd start needing it anyway if they're foraging outdoors. I'd check and make sure that pink sand isn't treated with anything potentially toxic though, I'm not that familiar with it.

As long as your "pink" sand is just sand then don't worry, they eat sand when they are little, and small gravel when they are bigger. It lodges in the gizzard and grinds up their food since they don't have teeth. It's completely normal and is just the way God made them.
