Do you have a farm store or pet store in your town? Your chickens will probably survive on veggies and corn, but they will not thrive on it. Check with any feed store around to see about ordering if they do not stock it.

I don't know about shipping to Canada, as I'm in the states.

Rice may be fine for chickens, but it is not "really good for them". If you have no other options, chickens will eat meat scraps as well.

And it’s kinda hard to find chicken food since it don’t ship here so any alternatives they can eat

If your chicken(s) are happy then they would be active, laying in the sun and also taking a dirt bath and other things too that I don't know of.

Meat scraps, cooked eggs, fish, most veggies and grains (wheat, corn, barley). Try to keep their protein intake up. I realize some people just don't have access to formulated rations, but they aren't going to get everything the need all of the time from just scraps. In the end I suppose that means that some don't lay as many eggs, don't live as long etc. Some will be just fine.

Oyster shell really should be offered on the side so they can take what they need, not mixed into the feed itself. Do your chickens have empty crops just in the morning or at night, as well?

Where in Canada are you? I'm in Ontario, used to live in Alberta. I might be able to help you source some proper feed. How many chickens do you have?

Sure that will be great. I give them mealworms as treats but I don’t give them a lot because they won’t eat anything else other than worms. Would oats and rice mixed with corn work?

you really should try to get them some chicken food. https://www.amazon.com/Modesto-Mill...eywords=modesto+milling&qid=1609888063&sr=8-3 is what I feed my chickens. Oats can give them diarrhea if you feed them too much. Having balanced chicken food is good if you can get it.

Where are you getting the oyster shells and mealworms? The store might order you chicken feed if you ask.
