Long time reader, maybe first time breeder? I've had chickens for years and wanna up my game any advice would be great! You all rock, happy to be a part of the community.

I would say it should be fine. People commonly breed mother to son, daughter to father, etc. in many breeding systems.

Thanks Davidkerk, do you know if all the chicks sent are from the same parents? I guess this is more of a question for the hatchery. thanks and God bless.

Hello :frow Welcome To BYC and Happy Holidays! You might want to check out or post in some of the threads in the Breeds, Genetics and Showing forum for the breeds you are interested in about what long term breeders do so far as line and in breeding goes. With commercial hatchery birds, there is really no way to know how related they are.
