Is it okay if I put my egg under a thick glass cup to protect from cold weather?

So yesterday I found an abandoned chicken egg in my backyard. I didn't want it to die so I decided to raise it. Well since Christmas is coming and so is the cold weather, I wasn't prepared! What I did was I put the egg under a thick glass cup in it's cage. Will that keep it from freezing? I need ideas FAST.

That egg will never hatch unless you get it into an incubator or under a broody hen, sorry You need to get it up to 99.5 degrees in a forced air incubator or 101.5 degrees in a still air incubator or it will never start to develop at all.
