Is it okay to steal eggs from under a hen?

I take them from under my one that lays. If they peck, ruffle feathers, and stay there too long they can get broody.

I figure they're MY eggs, so if I want them, I take them! my hens are all well-handled, and none of them will bite me when I reach for eggs. And it doesn't deter them from laying again tomorow!

you guy are worng for taking a broody hens eggs if yu don't want it sale it or give it any alest let it hatch one chick so it can be happy

well it is for me love to she a broody hens sitting don't know why but it is a lovly site my hen just hatch 7 babies to replace my older stock all chickens got to go but her cuz she is the best mommy i got so keeping her

That works great for you. I think the OP was worried it might hurt or scare the chicken to take its eggs. Not everyone wants babies.
